Note and Task Synchronization for BlackBerry The second big new feature of the new version concerns the BlackBerry synchronization. You're now able to sync tasks and notes, additionally to the already existing calendar and contact synchronization. The new app (version 2.0) should be available on the BlackBerry App World within the next hours.

Pimero 2011.2 released



Blackberry Sync Support
The new version prepares everything for Blackberry Sync support. When RIM approves our already submitted iPimero for Blackberry app, you'll be able to sync your Blackberry device with Pimero. We'll inform you when the app will be ready for download on RIM's App World :-)


Pimero as default email client
You can now set Pimero as your default email client by going to "Extras" -> "Options" -> "Email" and clicking on "Make Pimero the default email client".


New iPod, iPhone & iPad apps
We've improved the sync process in the new version which makes it necessary to update your app. You can update your app directly from the App Store. Important: Apple does not provide an option of supporting "older" app versions. When you update your app to the latest version, you need to update Pimero to version 2011R2, too.

Pimero 2011 – Download Now


We are happy to announce that the new version 2011 R1 is now available. Here are some of the new features:

Spell Checking

The email module now includes a flexible and easy to use spell checker. The checking can be done while you are typing or after you have finished in a separate window. Pimero automatically suggests the correct spelling of a mistyped word. The module can be extended with an unlimited number of languages using freely available dictionaries.

Dynamic Mail Receivers
While Pimero already included static recipient lists for serial mailings, it now offers so called dynamic lists. Here you can define some criteria for your contacts that need to match. Pimero will evaluate thoses criteria right before you send out your mailing. This way Pimero easily adapts to a constantly growing number of contacts.

Improvements in detail
Thanks to very helpful suggestions provided by our customers we could again implement many smaller improvements that make it even easier to work with Pimero.

Aug. 5th. 2010 Pimero 2010 R3 Released

The new version of Pimero comes with an exciting set of new features:

Smartphone Synchronization
With this new release Pimero can synchronize its appointments, tasks and contacts to a WindowsMobile smartphone. The program lets you choose which kind of data should be transferred. While Windows XP users only need to install the freely available ActiveSync from Microsoft users of Windows Vista or Windows 7 can start right away.

Social Network Connector
A new optional (but included) module lets you use the popular social networks facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter directly from inside the program. You will see what is happening in all networks at a glance because Pimero can merge all incoming news into one view. Of course you can also post news and comments using Pimero. This optional module can be disabled by the network administrator.

Optional Modules
Pimero’s modules for communication over the internet can be enabled or disabled selectively by the administrator. This is the case for the modules “email”, “RSS feed” and the new “Social network connector”. This feature is here to help companies enforcing a consistent structure in communication.

Connecting Clients without Admin Password
Administrators can now grab a so called network password from the ServerAdmin. This can be passed to users who want to join the Pimero network but who shouldn’t get to know the administrator password.

Easier Category Assignment
The context menu for appointments has been revised and made easier to use. Categories and other often used information can now be assigned directly without opening the appointment dialog.

Better Email Printing
The printing of normal and HTML emails has been overworked to offer a better look and include more information.

Default Settings for Appointments
A user can now configure some parameters that are applied by default to new appointments. This comes in handy when you often need to make new entries with the same duration by default.

We are happy to announce that the new version 2010 R2 has just been released. The second big update in this year provides a lot of improvements in detail as well as some exciting new features.

Rule system for emails
With the new rules it is now very easy to arrange your emails. Based on any number of conditions like words in the subject or the sender’s name of an email, Pimero can execute one or more actions. This enables you to move all emails from one customer into a specific folder or to categorize all emails that include a relevant keyword within the subject. The creation of new rules becomes really easy when using Pimero’s ability to auto-create those rules based on existing emails.

New view for contacts
Beneath the existing views “Business Card” and “Table” Pimero now offers a split view. This view displays an alphabetical list of contacts on the left side while showing its details in a panel on the right side. The details are grouped into different categories to improve the representation of often used information.

New reporting formats for contacts
A total of four new formats are delivered with R2: “Two columns”, “Phone list”, “Email list” and “Phone and email list”.

New styles
Along with the new functions of Pimero 2010 R2 we released some great new schemes for the user interface. The new skins “Seven” and “Seven classic” provides a look & feel similar to Windows 7 and Office 2010. As usual this is also available to users of the older operating systems like Windows XP.

Pimero starts with a fresh new version into 2010. Have a look at the new exciting features:

Serial Emails
Pimero now offers a convenient and simple to use serial mailer. With just a few clicks you can create personalized mails for your contacts. You can also create contact lists to manage the recipients effectively. Pimero show a preview version of the email before you send it out.

HTML formatted Emails
Now Pimero lets you create emails with superior formatting functions. Insert lists, embed images and choose the font – make it look exactly as you like it.

New Task Management
The task management module has been greatly improved. We have included a section to manage the effort of a task. You can now also create custom fields in order to capture exactly the information you need. Along with the well l known tabular view of tasks Pimero now offers a horizontal timeline to quickly grasp information about the timing of your tasks.

Improved Folder Selection
With Pimero 2010 it’s even easier to select which part of all available information you want to see. The new folder picker makes it comfortable and easy to share your information with other users and open different folders for each module.

Pimero Free Edition 2009 R6 released

IMAP Protocol Support
Now the Free Edition also includes the extended support for IMAP. While the mails rest on the server they can be viewed by every team member. Pimero lets you also save copies of your sent mails on the server so that everyone in the team knows what has been answered already. Pimero will also save a local copy of all the mails if you like to. This way you can make sure that you have all the mails with you even if you’re not connected to the internet.

Address Book
Pimero now offers comfortable access to all the emails addresses from the contact module. Quickly find the right contact and insert the recipient with a mouse click.

Integration of Custom Fields
The creation of user defined fields is now simpler than before. They can also be displayed as part of the contact table and the business cards view. The quick find function also includes their values.

E-Mails Detail-View
A single email can now be viewed in a separate window. From here you can print the contents in the new memo format. You can also export the document into various formats from here. The report (as well as all the other reports in Pimero) support HTML, MHT, RTF, XLS, XLSX, CSV, Text and multiple image formats.

Improvements in Detail
Beneath the new functions described above we did a lot of improvements in nearly every corner of the program. Every module has new functions waiting to be explored by you. Try it now.

Pimero2009 R6 Released

Now Including IMAP Support:
Pimero's email module now offers extensive support for the IMAP Mail protocol. IMAP lets you work with emails in team much better than you ever could with the old POP accounts. New Function "Quick Find":
For the modules "Contacts", "Tasks" and "Emails" we have written a new Quick Find function. This function lets you search with a single text box through the corresponding data. Quickly find the right contact’s phone number or get the right email from your huge archive within parts of a second. Just give it a try.

Detail-View for Emails:
A single email can now be viewed in a separate window. From here you can print the contents in the new memo format. You can also export the document into various formats from here. The report (as well as all the other reports in Pimero) support HTML, MHT, RTF, XLS, XLSX, CSV, Text and multiple image formats.

Database Import (in the ServerAdmin):
This new tool is now part of the ServerAdmin. It enables you to import data from multiple databases into an existing Pimero server. The db files must be version 2009 R3 or newer. Then it doesn’t matter if they come from a different network or whether it’s a client- or server database. You can also import multiple files into one server.

Better Context Menus for Task- and Contact Module:
Now you can move multiple tasks or contacts to a different folder with a single click. Also the assignment to categories can be changed this easy.

Improvements in Detail:
Beneath the new functions described above we did a lot of improvements in nearly every corner of the program. Every module has new functions waiting to be explored by you. Try it now.

New version of Pimero‘s Free Edition released

Now including the new Email Module
The new email module that has been introduced by the full version of Pimero 2009 R5 is now available for the Free Edition. The module has all the features that make Pimero a real alternative to Microsoft Outlook. Now Pimero integrates all your important data in one place: appointments, tasks, contacts, notes and emails.
An innovative new feature called “Auto-Fill” lets you create new contacts without any typing. You can mark an address in the text of your received email (e.g. in the senders signature) and let Pimero generate a contact from the text. This also works outside of Pimero. You can copy any text representing an address into the clipboard and let Pimero use that information to create new contacts.

Remanufactured the notes section
Pimero notes now have a fresh new design and it’s even easier to create a new note with a single click. Categories can be assigned as needed to colorize the note.

Pimero2009 R5 with email module

Additionally to the already known features scheduler, contacts, tasks and notes, Pimero now has a 5th. module: Emails.

Send and receive emails with the integrated email client. You don't need to use any separate email tool anymore! The Pimero Mail Module has two different display modes: horizontal and vertical. You can switch between these two views with just a single click.

Create contacts directly from a email signature
Highlight a signature in an email and do a right click on it. From the upcomming context menu choose "Create Pimero Contact". Pimero is smart enough to auto fill all contact fields from the signature text. There's no easier and faster way to add a new contact to your contact list!


Additionally we've fully redesigned the notes section. Notes can now be categorized with 10 different colors.

Pimero Free Edition 2009 R4 released

Version 2009 R1 has been the last release of Pimero Free Edition. Many things have changed since then so we are glad to announce that the new version 2009 R4 is now available to everyone. Despite the data synchronization between multiple computers the Free Edition nearly has all the features of the full version. The license still prohibits commercial usage. Please have a look at the free demo available for anyone who runs a business: http://www.pimero.com/en/purchase.php. The most important changes since the previous version:

No registration needed any more
Anyone can start using Pimero right after downloading. The registration screen is no longer part of the Free Edition.

The new QuickView – All important information at a glance:
The QuickView is a completely new feature. It outlines all important upcoming events. It is a small window that can be attached to the corners and sides of the desktop. It displays appointments, tasks, notes and contacts that are located in the directory of the current user or in public directories. The QuickView even allows adding or editing entries in an easy way. Pimero can of course start directly with this new window so that the main window only needs to be opened for more complex tasks.

Especially when used with many user accounts the startup-speed has been improved.

Auto-Fill for news contacts
The new Auto-Fill feature simplifies the creation of new contact entries. If you have copied text to the clipboard that contains address information, Pimero will automatically read the information and fill it into the corresponding text fields. If some parts of the text could not be assigned automatically a small window will display these parts. You can now assign them with simply drag & drop actions. Just run a quick test – You will never want to add you contacts manually…

New version Pimero 2009 R4 – Now ready for download

The new QuickView – All important information at a glance:
The QuickView is a completely new feature. It outlines all important upcoming events. It is a small window that can be attached to the corners and sides of the desktop. It displays appointments, tasks, notes and contacts that are located in the directory of the current user or in public directories. The QuickView even allows adding or editing entries in an easy way. Pimero can of course start directly with this new window so that the main window only needs to be opened for more complex tasks.

New Feature „Private Appointments“
Appointments can now be marked as „private“. This way all details are hidden for other users, even if they have access to your own calendar. Private appointments can be seen by others but the details cannot be opened or even edited. This can only be done by one of the appointment’s owners.

Better Tools for the Pimero Server:
The ServerAdmin now writes a protocol by default. Administrators can now easily see what entries have been changed by source and date.
The second new important function is the tool for restoring backups on the server. Administrators can specify if the clients will need to be re-configured completely or if the server’s data will be marked as new.

Main program now split into smaller modules:
On program start not all parts will be loaded. This way the time for starting has reduced about 30%-40%. The memory consumption has also been lowered by this amount.

New functions for the views „Today“ and „Contacts“:
The view „Today“ now lets the user perform basic editing for appointments and task. The contact view now multiple contacts can be selected and then be used as receivers for the systems default email program.

Improvements on reliability:
Thanks to the feedback of our users we could again do a lot of improvements in detail. Thank you very much!

Update for Pimero 2009 R3

Better startup speed:
Especially when used with many user accounts the startup-speed has been improved.

Hide user accounts in main window:
A user can now define what other user accounts should be visible for selection in the main window.

Chat now offers "Buzz!" function and supports Rtf messages:
To attract the receivers attention one can use the "Buzz!" function. The receivers chat window will shake and play a sound.
The message area now accepts Rtf (Rich Text Format) from the clipboard. This way any Rtf formatted message (including images) can be send.

Correction of smaller issues:
Some errors in translation and minor errors in the program have been resolved.

New version available: Pimero 2009 R3

To update, download the latest Pimero version and start the installer. Database synchronization re-designed: Pimero now synchronizes its databases based on Microsoft’s SyncFramework technology. Together with the migration to the FirebirdSQL database server Pimero is now ready for huge amounts of data. Encrypted data transfer: All data is now being encrypted before it is transferred over the Internet. Your sensitive data will be protected by Pimero’s strong encryption. Improved representation of contact and task lists: Both views are now clearly arranged and offer the most important information at a glance. Additional columns can be displayed and the lists can be grouped in multiple ways. New journal features: The data from the journal can now be exported and printed. The export can be done into text, Excel, XML or HTML formats. New user interface for the chat: The chat window now arranges your conversations in tabs. Thus you can keep the general view even when chatting with multiple users at a time. Support for terminal servers: Pimero can now be used in terminal server environments. The program can be installed for many clients on the terminal server machine. The individual databases of your users will be synchronized by the Pimero sync service. The new manual gives you an easy step-by-step guide on how to set up Pimero for terminal servers. Improvements on reliability: We could once again make several detail improvements thanks to our users feedback. Thank you very much!

Pimero Version2008 R2 released.

To update, download the latest Pimero version and start the installer. New features - "Today" View The new view gives you an overview about the upcoming appointments, tasks and birthdays. - CSV export With the new csv export module you can easily export your Pimero data into a comma separated values file and import it into other programs (e.g. MS Excel) for further use. - User colors in scheduler overlay mode The user color is now displayed on every appointment in the overlay mode to help you to assign every appointment to its owner. - Two different folder/user modes You can now display all Pimero2008 users in folder mode, where all users with their folders are displayed or switch to the user display mode. In the user display mode only users are shown in the list. Depending on the selected category all folders are automatically displayed when you activate the checkbox beside the username.

Pimero 2008 R1 Service Update

Today we have released the new Service Update for Pimero 2008 R1which includes: New instant messenger The instant messenger was completely refactored. Users are now able to communicate over the internet with other Pimero 2008 team users. (Pimero 2008 Server with internet connection must be available). RSS Feed Reader With the new RSS Feed Reader users are now able to subscribe news feeds. The news feed reader looks automatically for new items and shows them in the news feed tab. The update intervall and number of items can be set for every user. 6 new contact views ( Pimero Cards) The new Pimero Cards give you the possibility to set up your layout as you need it. All contact fields can be adapted individually via easy Drag n Drop actions. Faster Loading Calendar data is now loaded much faster. Improved Installer The Pimero 2008 service is now updated automatically. Update by downloading the latest Pimero version, and then start the installer.

Pimero 2008 R1 released. After months of work we proudly announce the brand new Pimero release "Pimero 2008 R1". The program base was fully refactored. Every function was written new from scratch which build the base for faster, reliable and robust extensions and features. With the new folder based administration of all items you have the possibility to create as much folders as you want and allow other Pimero users to read, write, create, delete items. Added and refactored features: Note Management Remove all stickers around your monitor. Pimero has now the capability to manage notes! Extended grouping methods Group calendar sheets by date, folder or overlay them. Dynamic time intervall in the scheduler The new scheduler is able to display the time intervall in the following formats: 5, 6, 10, 15, 30 und 60 minutes. Recurring appointments Recurring appointments are now marked in the scheduler. Create exceptions and modify whole series. New Timeline view The new Timeline view has lots of new display features. New Vista-Design – Even under Windows XP Pimero has a stunning new user interface. The ribbon panel reminds of the one in Office 2007 and works extremely easy and intuitive. Floating Layout. All views can be arranged as needed to optimize handling. Enhanced filter settings. Now also the tasks and contacts can be filtered individually. A better task section. Tasks will be displayed in multiple rows for a better abstract. Background images for business cards view of contacts along with a new design for the business cards. Enhanced tool tips offering all information about an appointment without any need for opening this information in a dialog window. Automatic salutations for your serial mailings. The best possible salutation will automatically be created containing the most detailed information you have about each individual contact. Correct formatting of addresses for USA and Canada.

Feb. 25th 2007 Pimero 2007 R2 released.

Many new features added since the first release of Pimero 2007. New types of views for contacts like contact cards and grouped tables. New Import formats like the common iCalendard (.ics) and vCard (.vcf) have been added for better integration with global communication systems. Now assignments between appointments and contacts can be made to get an overview of how much time you have spent with each of your contacts. Added support for Skype Voice Over IP Client. Call your contacts directly from Pimero.

2006

14 .11.2006 Pimero 2006 released.

Completely re-written program. Faster, more stable and many enhanced features. The new version version includes a complete team wide contact management solution that lets you keep track of all contacts.

22.05.2006 Pimero Version 1.4 available.

Many new features and enhancements in detail are made in this version. You can now configure the time intervall wich configures the timespan of displayed appointments. Also included in this version you can now set the day start time individually. Another new feature is the possibility of letting Pimero start silently in the background.

03.05.2006 Pimero Version 1.3 released. "Copy and Paste" function

Appointments can now be copied and pasted with the easy to use "Copy'n Paste function". Additionally the calendarweek is added to the view. Pimero is now able to import and export its data into a XML file for any further use. The exported file can be encrypted to prevent unauthorized access to the appointment data.

23.02.2006 Pimero Version 1.1 released. Outlook Import & chat function

Pimero is now available in version 1.1. The new release includes smaller bugfixes and now provides a chat function to enable users to send and receive small messages. The online/offline states show the connection of team members. The new integrated Outlook import module enables users to import all existing data from MS Outlook into Pimero.

19.01.2006 Pimero.com goes online

The website for Pimero is published online today. It includes detailed information about all features in Pimero.

25.12.2005 Pimero will be released in two different editions.

Pimero will be available in two different editions. The Standard Edition will include the automatic Pimero synchronization to provide easy date and to do handling for mostly private endusers. The Professional Edition will include the innovative team functions like the Team Date Finder and Multi-user views.
