Synchronization with WindowsMobile

In version 2010 R3 Pimero supports the synchronization with Window Mobile based cell phones.

Attention: Items that have been deleted on the phone will also be deleted in Pimero. A full synchronization will be accomplished. Please make a backup of all your data from the phone and from Pimero before every synchronization.

Important: The synchronization with a cell phone has to done with the the same Pimero client every time. The cell phone information will not be synchronized within the Pimero network. If you ignore this all your entries will double.

HowTo: Configuration

Choose the types of data that should be synchronized between the phone and Pimero:

With appointments a time frame can be configured. Only appointments within that range will be synchronized. You can choose a smaller time span to speed up the synchronization progress.
Users of Windows XP first need to install the latest version of Microsoft ActiveSync. The program can be downloaded free of charge at Microsoft. Users of Windows Vista or Windows 7 already have installed the mobile device center.
Connect the phone to your computer. This is normally done using an USB cable. After a short period of time you will see a welcome screen from ActiveSync or Windows Mobile device center. Nothing needs to be configured here if you just want to sync your data with Pimero. All settings will be configured in Pimero.
In the main window of Pimero please click the button 'Sync Mobile Device'.

The status bar informs you about the progress of the synchronization.

Important: After starting the synchronization for the first time the cell phone will ask for permission to execute SfhSync.exe. Please allow access for this program in order to start the synchronization.

Please notice:

For all types of data Pimero will synchronize all corresponding folders of the currently logged in user. If the user has e.g. more than one folder to store contacts, the contacts from all his folders will be synchronized.
