The Pimero Server Administrator

Restore Backup

In the tab "Restore Backup" you can choose an Backup that should be restored.

Important: Only backups of the same version can be restored.

Important: Only backups from the server can be restored.

Please first check the location where the backups can be found. When you open this tool it searches in the default directory. If you have changed this in the server settings you will need to select the correct path by clicking on "Browse"

The lists shows all backups that could be found in the selected path. By default they are sorted descending by the time of creation. Please select the one you want to restore. It will additionally be displayed under "Selected Backup:".

The path to the target database should be correct but you can manually change it with a click on "Change".

Click the "Next"-button to get a preview of the data that could be restored (The database will not change yet):

Please click on "Advanced options" to change the settings.

Increase Anchors: By checking this option the so called anchor values will be increased. This way the restored data will be marked as new. All clients will download all data from the server and overwrite their own data.

Make new database ID: This option will set a new ID to the server database. The installed clients will not be able to sync with this server anymore. They with display the status information "Wrong server" until they have been re-configured as described in Network installation - Client.

Set new network password: By choosing this option you can set a new administrator password for the Pimero network. This also requires all clients to be re-configured (see above).

Convert Stand-Alone to Server: With this option you can convert a single installation database into a server database. This step is not recommended. Please use the function Import Database instead.
