No Google Sync |
If you configured the Google sync as described in the documentation but you still can not sync you should do the test mentioned here from top to bottom.
1. Test for server availability
Start the ServerAdmin (Start -> All Programs -> Pimero -> Server -> ServerAdmin) as Administrator (Right click and then choose Run as administrator). After starting the program it is minimized to the system tray.
Click on the icon to open the window. You will need to provide your admin password. In the main window please select the tab "Synchronization" and then "Google"

Make sure that the box "Sync Service enabled" is checked and that you have chosen a free TCP port.
Click on "Test availability". After a short while the text "Sync server ready on port XY should be shown. In this case you can go on with section 2#. Otherwise you should find the error message in the table below:
No server listening on port XY. |
No server is running on the given port. Please turn on the server and apply the changes. You must have started the ServerAdmin as administrator to be able to make changes here. |
Port XY is used by another server. |
The given port is already used by another server. This can be another service of Pimero or a server from a different program. Please choose a different port number that is still free and apply the changes. You must have started the ServerAdmin as administrator to be able to make changes here. Please note: If you change the port number here, you will have to change it in all Pimero clients as well (see section #2 below). |
Can not determine server status. |
The status of the server could not be determined. Please choose a different port number that is still free and apply the changes. You must have started the ServerAdmin as administrator to be able to make changes here. Please note: If you change the port number here, you will have to change it in all Pimero clients as well (see section #2 below). |
2. Check the client configuration
Start the Pimero client and open the admin options (Extras -> Admin Options). Please select the page "Data".

Please check the server name or address and the port number behind "Google:". The port must be the same as configured on the server.
All further (user dependant) configuration will be done in the normal option (Extras -> Options). If you can't configure your synchronization there please check for server availability from the client computer (see below).
3. Connect to the server from a client
You can start a webbrowser to check if the service can be reached from this client. Enter the URL as given below into the address field of your browser. Please replace the IP (here 192.168.0.1) and the port (here 8085) with your settings.
http://192.168.0.1:8085/GoogleSyncService/Service.aspx
If you see the message "No command" in your browser you can successfully connect to your server. If you still can't change the configuration you will need to create a log file for us. To do so please start the Logfile Creator (Start -> All Programs -> Pimero -> Logfile Creator). Please follow the instructions there.
If you can not connect to your server using the browser you network is not configured properly or the firewall on your server computer doesn't allow connections to the port you have chosen.
