Import data from Pimero Database or Backup

The direct import from database files or backup files is only supported for single computer installations. If you want to import data into a Pimero network you need to do so at the ServerAdmin. Please look here for restoring Backups or here for importing database files at the server.

To start the import please choose "Import" -> "From Pimero Database or Backup" from the main menu (the big round button in the top left corner). This only works with source databases from Pimero 2009 R3 or newer.

Now you see a file dialog that lets you choose database files (*.FDB) or backup files (*.FBK). Pimero has saved these files in the data directory of the specific version. The default settings can be found here.

The import starts right after confirming the import dialog with "Ok". Every entry from the source database will be checked to see if it is newer than an existing one with same ID. This makes sure that you won't get double entries in your Pimero.
