Account settings

By clicking on "Manage accounts" you open an overview of your configured email accounts.

In this window you can create new accounts, manage your existing accounts or delete them.

If you click on "Add" the account wizard starts and you can configure another account.

To delete one account, select it in the list and click on "Delete".

With a click on "Edit" the account settings dialog opens.

The account settings

The account settings contain four sections: general settings, server settings, settings concerning sending your mails an

tracking options. If your account is an Imap account the tracking options are obsolete. Instead of tracking options

you can setup some Imap specific settings.

General

In this section there are general settings like your name or your email address.

Server settings

In this section you can configure both inbox and outbox server settings. Furthermore you can decide

whether Pimero shall look for new emails automatically and in witch interval. You can configure these settings

for each of your mail accounts individually.

Sending

In this section you can set up whether you want to send your emails as plain text or in HTML format by default.

Then you can enhance your text by formatting like font size or color.

If you prefer sending your mails as plain text, disable this setting.

Hint: This setting only affects the default layout of the email editor. You can switch between these two modes within the

editor in order to decide for each email you create individually.

Moreover you can create a signature that will be attached automatically to your text. Configure when to use your signature:

When writing new mails, when forwarding and when creating a reply.

Tracking options

In this section you can set up if you want to request a read receipt and a delivery receipt for the messages you send

and how to react on requested read receipts for messages you read.

If you want to request a read receipt check the setting "Read receipt". If the recipient's email clients supports this feature

and if he want to send you a response you will get an email as far your message will be read.

Furthermore you can request a delivery receipt. If you check this setting you will get - in case this feature is supported by

the provider - an computer generated email to inform you whether your message could be delivered successfully.

Hint: Please remember that a successful delivery receipt doesn't mean that the recipient has read your message.

And also please don't definitely expect a read receipt if you have requested one. On the one hand not every email client

supports this feature and on the other hand your recipient might suppress sending a response.

Imap

In the Imap section you can decide whether to store drafts and sent messages on your mail server.

This make sense if you work with your email address on different PCs.

If you like to save your drafts and sent items you can specify the corresponding folder in your mailbox.

You can also specify the path of your trash folder.

Furthermore you can make your messages offline available for example if your are traveling a lot. If you have checked this

setting Pimero will download the whole message instead of just the message header. The messages will be stored in their

corresponding folders on your harddisk so you can find and read them just like you are online.

Click on "OK"  to save all your settings.
